Our History Together
2003
We met as seniors in high school when our families attended the same church in Springfield, Missouri. We became close friends in 2005, after a church camping trip.
2011
In 2010 we realized we were more than just friends and in May of 2011 we got married. Back then, I was working as a waitress and Josiah was making minimum wage as a hospital receptionist.
2013
In October of 2013, we bought and remodeled our first house together. I was teaching 7th grade English. Josiah had just been laid off and was working as a freelancer building WordPress websites.
2016
We decided to take a leap of faith and pursue a career in commercial real estate. We sold our house, bought an RV to live in, and moved to Kansas City.
2018
We moved in our RV to Texas so Josiah could work full time on a software startup he had launched. I was working full time as a blogger writing articles about full time RV living.
2019
A temporary visit turned into a move back home when we both started training at a Springfield based Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym. Later that year, we sold our RV and moved into a rental house. Now you’re caught up with the beginning of this blog!
